Nicki Meyer is in the news as the daughter of Florida’s football coach, Urban Meyer, has just signed a letter of intent to play volleyball for Georgia Tech. Her parents and younger sister Gigi were on hand to watch her well up in tears as she signed the letter of intent.

“I’m really excited to think about what the next four years has in store for me.” she said.
Nicki Meyer Biography

As a biography, we do not know Nicki’s date of birth, but since she is a senior in high school, we assume she is either 17 or 18 years old. When her father, Urban Meyer, was hired as Florida’s new football coach in 2005, he and his wife Shelley had thought they would put their kids in a private school. Shelley, who is a former high school volleyball player, was told that Jeff Reavis, the new Buchholz High School volleyball coach was the best of the best. It wasn’t long before Urban and Shelley enrolled Nicki in Buchholz.

Nicki, a libero, led her team to the state championship title when she was a junior, and this year, their season was cut short after Buchholz’s loss to Orlando Timber Creek in a regional final game last Saturday.
