Actor Taye Diggs and wife Idina Menzel became the proud parents of a baby boy on Wednesday (September 2), and the couple couldn’t be happier.
The couple announced their pregnancy in March, and over five months later, they welcome Walker Diggs to their family.
“Mother, father and son are all doing well,” the couple publicist, Jessica Kolstad, said in a statement Thursday.
The boy is the couple’s first child. They are both 38 years old.
Diggs met Menzel on the Broadway production of “Rent” in 1996. They married in January 2003.
Diggs currently stars on ABC’s “Private Practice.” Menzel starred in “Wicked” on Broadway and in the 2007 film “Enchanted.” She also has made guest appearances on “Private Practice.”
