Clinton Urges Myanmar To Free Suu Kyi

MANILA: The United States on Thursday called again for the unconditional release of Myanmar democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi and said election held in the state next year will be credible only if the opposition participated.

“We believe his arrest for so many years is unfounded and not based on any other concern, what is the political opposition leader,” Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton told a news conference in the Philippine capital Manila.
