Morena Baccarin

That beloved 80s TV series about aliens engaging in an insidious takeover of Earth, is being remade and Firefly fans should be pleased to hear that Morena Baccarin, the sultry Companion from that show, has been cast in the alien leader role played by Jane Badler in the original.

Also in the cast is Alan Tudyk, who played Wash in Firefly.

However, Tudyk was quoted on Sci Fi Wire recently as telling a group of reporters that he and Baccarin don’t have any scenes together.

It’s OK, Alan … you’d just be in the way of our Morena appreciation. Nothing personal, we hope you understand.

V is awaiting “pickup” by ABC, apparently. A formal announcement by the network is expected later this month.
