Jules Asner’s Court Papers Detail

Divorce is hard enough without the current economic climate.
Legendary actor Ed Asner is feeling the hit, struggling to make ends meet while attempting to settle a divorce with ex Cindy. 

The pair, married almost ten years, officially filed for divorce in 2007 and have been unable to reach a settlement since. Because of the costly process, Asner claims he’s had to take a line of credit just for living expenses.

“Recently I have had difficulty paying for all of our family’s living expenses on my income,” Asner stated in documents obtained by RadarOnline.com.

“I have taken out a credit line on the family residence in the amount of $225,000. As of May 22, 2009, I have spent $220,180 of the credit line. The vast majority was spent on living expenses.”

Asner estimates he’s spent close to $550k on the legal battle, and that numerous attempts to settle with Cindy have been unsuccessful.

Asner’s former daughter in law Jules Asner is married to Ocean’s Thirteen director Steven Soderbergh.
