Delhi Metro Rolls Into Noida

New Delhi: The Delhi Metro on Thursday, added another feather to its cap with the launch of service to the National Capital Region of the city of Noida UP.
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and Minister of the Union Urban Development S Jaipal Reddy, along with Metro man E Shreedhar marked out the first train station in Delhi Akshardham.
The train has reached Noida and his return trip would be marked out of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati.
The new line is sure to bring relief to thousands of people moving between the capital and its suburb key. The route, which is expected to be used by approximately 53,000 passengers a day, promises to reduce travel time to half hour.
The section is about 12.8 km long and is quite high. He joins the Yamuna Bank station in east Delhi to the city of Noida, in Central Station. Of the 11 stations along the route, five were between Yamuna Bank and Ashok Nagar (in Delhi) and the remaining six are in Noida – Sector 15, Sector 16, Sector 18, Botanical Garden, Golf Course and center City Sector 32.
The broker Noida has been integrated with the current 34.3 kilometers Yamuna Bank Dwarka segment. This will expand the total length of Line-3, 47.4 km, which is the longest running underground to date.
On Wednesday, the DMRC raised its minimum rate of six to eight rupees rupees, while the maximum at 30 rupees instead of 22 rupees.

Also, the new rates will take effect from tomorrow.
According to DMRC, the average increase in fares on all boards is about 36 percent. The DMRC also clarified that 10 per cent discount on the smart card will continue.
This is the third time that the DMRC has revised the rates after the start of subway service in 2002.
The first was in March 2004, while the second review took place in December 2005.
