Bollywood Awaits The Return Of Shehanshah, Amitabh!

,  With no news as to when superstar Amitabh Bachchan will be discharged from hospital, Bollywood waits with bated breath for the return of Big B who recuperates in a Mumbai hospital.

The actor, who is reportedly responding well to the treatment administered to him, thanked his umpteen well-wishers and fans yesterday for their prayers and blessings.

Although the doctors have maintained that Bachchan’s conditions is stable, they are still wary of giving their final nod needed for the superstar to return home.

With this, it would be actor’s fifth day in the Lilavati hospital after he was admitted there on Saturday, complaining of an abdominal pain.

However, with Bachchan’s each passing day in the hospital, there seems to be growing sense of anxiety in Bollywood. With at least three film projects put on hold, filmmakers are increasingly looking forward to Big B’s decision to continue work post his hospital return.

Presently Big B is actively involved in three projects– Sujoy Ghosh’s “Alladin”, Leena Yadav’s “Teen Patti” and Shoojit Sarkar’s “Shoebite”.

Of the three, the shooting schedule for “Alladin” has been completed although dubbing work remains. Bachchan was to begin shooting for ‘Teen Patti’ on Sunday but his illness played spoilsport.

“How these projects move along depends on how fast he recovers,” trade analyst Amod Mehra said. “But knowing him, I would say he won’t take this illness lying down.”

Mehra said Bachchan had also committed to other projects, including a film with Ravi Chopra, but they may not be affected as no dates had been allotted to the projects.

Well, with such big bucks invested on the actor we are sure all eyes are on Amitabh Bachchan.
