Afghanistan Under Indian Influence,MusharrafWashington: Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has said that Afghanistan is under the influence of the intelligence agencies of India, even as he admitted that there is “an entry in the agency (Pakistani intelligence) ISI in all terrorist groups” .

“Intelligence Afghan President Afghan Government. Do not talk about them. I know what they do. They are, by design, to mislead the world,” Musharraf told CNN in an interview telecast on Sunday.

“They talk against Pakistan, because they are under the influence of Indian intelligence, all of them,” he replied when told that “U.S. intelligence, the Afghan government, Afghan intelligence everybody says, the Taliban leader, Mullah Omar is in Pakistan.

“The Afghan intelligence (s) completely under the influence of Indian intelligence. We know that,” said Musharraf, who is currently in London.

Asked if Pakistan was not really willing to help Afghanistan succeed, because it sees Afghanistan as a client state of India, Musharraf said: “Absolutely not. That’s not the case.”

“What I say, I’m saying here. I’ve given all the documentary evidence from around the world to this. There is documentary evidence. And we know that the involvement of Indian intelligence, in India, with their intelligence,” said .

“I have documentary evidence from around the world from top to bottom. Everybody knows it. And we have documentary evidence,” said former Pakistan army chief said.

At the same time, Musharraf admitted that there is an entry in the Pakistani spy agency Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) in each group, but denied the reports and statements of U.S. leaders that the ISI continues to support Taliban terrorists.

“They (ISI) will not support (the terrorists). That was not government policy. That was not military policy. However, there was penetration,” he said.

“Always, in each group, there is an entry in ISI. And this is the efficiency, effectiveness of the ISI. You must have input, so you can influence all organizations.

“And it is this entry of yours, which does not mean that support, but they have intercourse. They have some contacts that can be used for their own benefit,” said Musharraf.

The former president said U.S. forces and others were not welcome in Afghanistan, but now they are there, they should not quit before defeating al-Qaida and the Taliban.

“Yes, they are not welcome. Foreign troops are not welcome there (in Afghanistan), “he said when asked how the situation was different in Afghanistan, when he had opposed U.S. forces to enter Pakistani territory to deal with terrorists .

“But now they are there, we have to win. And quitting is not an option at all. I do not think quitting is an option at all,” Musharraf said.

“Any person who is talking of quitting did not understand the consequences of quitting. It should sit down and analyze what will happen if I had to leave without a solution.

We must defeat al Qaeda, we must subdue the Taliban, and we must introduce a credible, legitimate government in Afghanistan. But we can not leave before that, “he said.
