7 Killed In Car Blast In Peshawar

PESHAWAR: A car bomb explosion rocked the city of Peshawar on Saturday, leaving about seven people dead, including women and children, and wounded dozens.
Police officer Irfanullah Khan said the explosives-laden car blew up his vehicle from police while under arrest in Pushto Chowk Khara on the outskirts of the city, a victim of terror.
Khan said that police also were among seven killed in the blast.
Security forces have cordoned off the area.
Police and rescue personnel were achieved in the area and started rescue operations. The injured were rushed to hospitals were emergency have been declared.
ARY news correspondent said 14 injured were shifted to Hayat Abad Medical Complex, while 9 to Khyber Teaching Hospital.
The city, near the border with Afghanistan, has targeted several times since the army launched an offensive against the Taliban in South Waziristan last month and militants stepped up their revenge attacks.
A massive truck bomb at the regional headquarters of the Pak ISI spy agency killed 10 people in the city on Friday.
